PINTEREST CURATOR GARANCE DORE

Curator Garance Dore Besotted

Garance Dore is an internet success story/super star. Her name may be familiar to you as the very chic fashion illustrator (and photographer, writer and blogger). I was happily surprised when I saw that she was curating on Pinterest, it’s always a delight to spot an unexpected luminary there.  As you’d expect, Garance has some very forward boards, she is ‘in the know’ after all.  My favorite board though was her ‘Forever Cool’ a collection of photos of timeless beauties from various decades (from Grace Kelly to a young Kate Moss). I think you might also like to visit her Mes Classiques, Studio and La Parisienne.

I am working on my 2014 new year’s goals as I’m not great with resolutions.  As you can imagine I am more motivated than ever, my brain has been on over drive of what I need to accomplish this year and how I am going to go about doing it.  Do you have big plans as well?  I hope that I can make this place an even better resource for you to accomplish some of those goals, I have been working hard behind the scenes to try to make this happen.  I would love to hear any of your goals, I understand that if you let people know your goals that you are more apt to accomplish them.  Here’s to taking care of business!

Author / Miss Tristan B

She recently re-located to sunny Seattle with her handsome husband and two pups, they just welcomed to the world a baby girl. Her lofty goal here is to make this a creative resource repository and to inspire you to fall truly, madly, deeply in love with your life. Happy New Year!  I am wishing you a ton of happiness, health and prosperity!

  1. Happy new year! I’ve enjoyed finding your blog this year, and was so happy to see your work featured in February’s Country Living issue! :) enjoy the wonder of motherhood; I love being inspired by creatives like you.

    1. Thank you Denise! I am so happy that you found this little space too and so honored to have you visit! I am pretty excited about the CL mention, I wasn’t sure if it would really happen!!! And I am enjoying motherhood as much as anyone that hasn’t slept in over a month can, lol. She’s a really happy baby so when she smiles my heart swells and I forgive her for the sleep deprivation/torture;)

  2. Thank you for the tip. I had never heard of her. Also, wanted to share our town’s tradition spearheaded by our local poet who encourages us to pick a word for the new year, not a resolution. Mine is “alignment.” It’s much more nuanced and exciting than a resolution. I wrote about it today…

Wishing you and your family (love baby Elle’s names!) a wonderful new year. Thank you for your generosity, encouragement and humor. xo, M

    1. I just LOVE that Moira! I will stop by and I am going to figure out what mine is. Thank you for the well wishes and kind word, I always love your visits!

  3. Blessings to you on the birth of your little princess. I remember the days of walking around sleep-deprived! But this time will pass before you know it. It sure did with our girls (now grown, with families of their own).
I have a few goals for this year, but one is to become more proficient at copperplate, which I’m still just learning. I need to set some time aside each day to practice too! I’m sure that consistency would really help! ÷)
