PINTEREST CURATOR ROSE EBERSON

PINTEREST CURATOR ROSE EBERSON BESOTTED BLOGAm I the only one in disbelief that Christmas is next week?  How did that happen, it was just February wasn’t it?  I miss it here I do, thank you for being patient with me while I try to figure out how to be a new mom and also be part of the world at large, it’s not as seamless as I had imagined.  I did get to spend some time on my beloved (and sorely missed) Pinterest to discover Rose Eberson.  Roses’s boards have a moody romanticism to them, there are tons of categories to choose from and her boards are like a blog, there’s a lot of community interaction which I wish I had more of, I love knowing there are other like-minded individuals out there.

I imagine that things will start to quiet down now that the rush of holiday is done for my shop.  I didn’t have all my faculties together (not sleeping for a month will do that) and I made many mistakes (behind the scenes) and had to incur lots of extra fees for expedited shipping, but I was able to ship everything out and breathe a sigh of relief, I did it!  On another note I am going to compile a list of shows I have been able to watch (and enjoy) in all the time I have been spending not sleeping.  I wish I could say I have some movies or documentaries I could recommend but I don’t know when I will ever be able to watch a movie again (when she is 18?)  I will compile my list next week and we can compare notes, perhaps you will have some recommendations to add?  Wishing you all a happy weekend!

PINTEREST CURATOR BONNIE TSANG

Curator Bonnie Tsang BesottedI am always in awe of the Pinterest curators that have followers in the millions, photographer Bonnie Tsang is closer to 8 million.  8 million?!  There’s of course a reason for that she’s ahead of the curve.  I remember when she tapped the then unknown Anna Bond of Rifle Paper to create her logo, soon after Rifle exploded and a host of copiers followed, but when we were all just discovering Rifle (gleefully) she ditched her logo and re-branded. Yes, she is ahead of the pack indeed.  I have long appreciated her collection of  images of girls with crimson lips (both vintage and modern).  I love to see what a visual creative chooses to add to their boards. Some of my faves of Bonnie’s boards are her My Alter Ego board, Throw a Party, and Romanticism. If you want to help Bonnie get to 8 million followers go visit her boards.

On another note, I am still trying to figure out how to incorporate my blog into my new sleepless life as a new mama/zombie.  I hadn’t realized before how much time it took to run this here blog, it has always just been one of my great escapes and hasn’t felt much like work, I really love it and all of you.  I want to make sure that I create a balance and of course that my posts don’t suck (forgive my language).  I had a whole month planned of amazing DIY projects and had some very talented people that had pitched in to help, but of course baby b. came early and it was my first experience of my baby being the boss of me. I am going to sprinkle the DIY’s that were completed throughout this month, Michelle’s herbed sea salt is pretty spectacular and such an easy and elegant gift not just for holiday but at anytime of year! Feel free to pin that one and if you want to see what I have been pinning while I am up at night pumping (such an unflattering image) you can visit my boards here.

PINTEREST CURATOR TWIGS FLORAL STUDIO

PINTEREST CURATOR TWIGS FLORAL STUDIOS BESOTTED BLOG

I am sure you are all aware of the saying hindsight is 20/20, right?  If I were thinking properly I probably would have put together more of my curator posts in anticipation of my new arrival, but nope, I did not. Today, though I had a tiny window to stop over and visit my beloved Pinterest (has it really been 2 weeks from my last visit?) and was inspired to feature Pinterest Curator Twigs Floral Studio.  I actually thought I had featured them previously, but I looked through the archives and couldn’t find them, I hate when I do that! I have to say they are one of my faves, I almost always re-pin after them, they are visual treasure hunters.  They also happen to be very talented as well, take a look at their work board. Some of their other boards I find inspiring are: Work Spaces, Wild Things, and Art. Definitely go pay them a visit.

I want to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving and for my overseas friends happy Thursday!  I am so grateful for so much right now, but I am especially appreciative of your support and visits, thank you!

PINTEREST CURATOR ANNA FINNBOGADOTTIR

ANNA FINNBOGADOTTIR PINTEREST CURATORAny person that dedicates a Pinterest board to bread is ‘A.Okay’ in my book and that is how I was able to decide that Anna Finnbogadottir would be my Pinterest Curator today, you see it’s all very scientific around here. Of course Anna has the Stockholm cred that I envy, something about these Swedish pinners that has me at bright white wood floors. I love all the texture that can be found in her Grey board, and I completely started a re-pin fest at her White board. One of the sweetest boards she has is the Smile board, photos of pretty girls with pretty smiles, what could be better? Bread, yes bread might be better…

PINTEREST CURATOR BETH KIRBY

Pinterest Curator Beth Kirby Besotted Blog

If you are ready to fall into a visual wonderland of pins than you need to visit Beth Kirby of Local Milk. I could have gone dark and dramatic with her board above, or calm + neutral, or even deep and jewel like, she has so many options to choose from but somehow they all form a a cohesive package of beauty.  I loved her Pigment board, an ode to painters, it was refreshing and many of her choices were new introductions which is something I always enjoy–the thrill of discovery! Photons is clever and I loved seeing what she actually had in there. Her Portrait board was definitely inspiring, for someone like myself that doesn’t like their photo taken, there are so many beautiful+ unusual shots to consider for the future.

Beth was a recommendation and I apologize my brain is not working as well as before to give proper credit where it is due . I heard terrifying news that my brain will shrink up to 6% with this pregnancy, so be prepared for me to just drool on my keyboard in the ensuing weeks. I feel like my brain shrinks a little more every day. Any advice on how to prevent this from happening or to combat baby brain?  Is it even possible?  I signed up for a bunch of classes recently, which I promise to let you know more about, because I want to exercise my brain as much as possible before she (my baby with currently no name) arrives. Wish me luck!
