CONFETTI LOVE + CONFETTI PHOTOSHOP BRUSHES

It feels like a holiday weekend, doesn’t it?  I am in a celebratory mood and it’s as good a day as any  for confetti.  It seems the blogosphere has fallen deep as well with this obsession.  They say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth but I beg to differ, it seem Blogland is.  What other place could create such a worldwide fervor over things such as cupcakes, bunting, confetti and balloons?  I created some simple confetti photoshop brushes to play with in your posts, on your photo’s or whatever creative endeavor you choose.
I know you wouldn’t but please note my freebies are not to be re-sold as is, that wouldn’t be very nice now would it? Happy weekend everyone!
P.S. Not sure how to load or use Photoshop brushes?  Please visit Rhonna Farrer (a.k.a. the expert) and you’ll be good to go in no time.

GEM + MINERAL PHOTOGRAPHY

My friend Andree always emails me the bestest photo resources and photography inspiration links.  I don’t know how she is able to sleuth such goodness from the sea of goodness out there, but she is always able to edit, refine and send something that I will love.  Andree turned me on to The Photo Argus, which I quickly signed up for, the other day they sent me an email with Warren Krupsaw’s Gem + Mineral photographs, I loved how they look like modern art.  I think the concept is so original and creative. In Mr. Krupsaw’s article he generously shares with the reader how they can go about shooting their own Gem + Mineral photo’s.  I have my own little collection of gems at my studio and am eager to give this a try.  If you are looking for some photo inspiration I highly recommend signing up for the Photo Arugus newsletter, there’s always a small photo treasure to be mined on their site.

ARTIST/MASKING TAPE BLOG EMBELLISHMENTS

I have it on good design authority that a lot of graphic designers think the tape trend on blogs is passe. I believe everything in moderation (except when it comes to shoes or fresh baguettes). I used some tape on a post over the weekend and I quite liked the look and thought maybe you might like some artist tape on your blog too.  Why not? I especially like the tape when coordinated with a photo but you could use it any way you please.  You can use these files in most (if not all) design programs and even in Word. Click the image above to take you to the download.  Have fun!

WHY, THANK YOU KINDLY

I am feeling overwhelmed with a sense of deep gratitude to all those that read this blog and for those lovely ladies that have taken the time to include mentions on their beautiful blogs about Besotted. Brand.  As many of you that had read my previous Blahg may know I have been working tirelessly to launch my Besotted Brand shop.  I have had a bunch of bumps in the road getting to the launch but I am closer with every day and it looks like I may be doing a soft launch next week. I know, I can’t quite believe it either.  It’s true though.  If you have any interest, may I suggest you sign-up for the mailing list to be the first one to know about the opening? I promise to only write you when I think you would like to hear from me or I have something really, really special to share with you. I have to be honest, I am a bit terrified and of course thrilled, which I suppose is the same sensation as a roller coaster, no?
And without further ado, thank you’s are in order to:
Miss Ez of Creature Comforts, do I really need to mention why I would be flabbergasted to be featured on Ez’s blog?  Surely you all can agree that it would be the highlight of any bloggerista’s day.
Miss Roseline of This is Glamorous, I am floored that someone with such impeccable taste as Roseline would deem my floral photo’s good enough for her blog-wow.
Miss Nicole of Making it Lovely, it is truly an honor to be included on your honor roll.
Miss Julieta of Pancakes & French Fries, I read P&FF regularly and I am almost always guaranteed a guffaw will ensue. Jules is always very supportive of my Beauty School posts which makes my obsession  with cosmetics justified when she links to me.
Again, thank you all for taking the time to visit and especially to those that leave me little notes. I know it is time consuming but it really makes my day.  I apologize in advance that I am not much of a commenter, I always get thumb-tied and have no idea what to write but know that I try to visit you all and your visits here are greatly appreciated.
