THE MR. & MRS.

This was just a quick snap on my husbands (yes, it will be in italics for awhile, at least until I get used to saying it) camera phone by our extraordinarily talented photographer. Yes, a mobile phone folks. I did tweet this but I know not all of you participate in the hijinks that are Twitter. I am in charge of editing the wedding photographs, a charge that I am anticipating with gusto, uhm, when I have a free moment to breathe. It’s been busy in these parts. This is what I suppose is a tease of images to come. Thank goodness handsome got rid of the ‘stache before the nuptials, right? For the record, I knew my hair was long, but I had no idea that I was freakin’ Rapunzel. If we needed to make a quick getaway from that balcony this photo was taken on I could have swung my ponytail over the side and we could have have climbed down.  Have I gotten a haircut since? No. I do plan on it before I accidentally choke myself in my sleep.

  1. Thank you ladies, it may just be the only time the Fancy, I mean my Husband(as he no longer is my Fancy/Fiancee)has ever been serious in his life. Maybe he was truly contemplating using my ponytail as an escape route, lol.

  2. Hi Jill!

Since as you know I RUSHED the dress (in four days) and you were amazing and did such an incredible job having never fit me I knew I was going to probably have fit issues. The top slip part being too low at the bust was the one (I am really busty for my size), but I didn’t want to distract from the beautiful neckline you created. The tailor had to take the entire slip away from the lace overlay and lift it to my armholes (I am VERY self conscious about being too racy, so I am sure most brides wouldn’t have minded a little cleavage but not my style), this created a shortage of material at the hem so we added a banding of cream ribbon that blended perfectly. I was actually astonished how you got all the other measurements perfectly (I’ve never had anything made just for me). The arms fit me perfectly and the lace detail hit me at my wrists like bracelets. My neckline was the prettiest part of the dress (even better than the target dress!).

I wish I had planned better, knew you sooner and was able to come out to visit. I think any bride would be lucky to have you create their dress.

    xx,

    Miss B.

  3. Oh WOW!!! I just looked at your photographers site and there you were! It looks wonderful on you:)
I would most likely have altered the dress the same way if it were brought to me like you took it to the tailor! They did a wonderful job, I’m so glad I got it done in time for you to have it fitted there. The neckline does look absolutely stunning on you:)

  4. Lovely picture!

At first glance, I didn’t notice the pony tail at all and thought you had a cute pixie cut and was wondering what in heavens you meant by being rapunzel! :)

  5. Oh my word! You are just a vision! Congratulations to you sweet T…and may you have a lifetime filled with joy and laughter together. xo Ez
