MMXII::20::EDITING A PHOTO A DAY IN 2012

MMXII::20::AFTER
I quite like where this edit is taking me.  It made the wheels start spinning, unfortunately I had much work to do so I couldn’t play more. I think I will go back and try this as a black + white.  I love that that these enormous antlers (and trust me they were enormous) could feel so light and ethereal just floating in the ether like they are.  I mentioned yesterday my very busy day, I wasn’t exaggerating (even though I do have the propensity to do that). I was so busy and on such a strict time frame that I actually set a timer for each task. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was able to accomplish with this little trick. I will be here all weekend, but I will bid adieu and bonne weekend to those that will be off enjoying their weekend.

I will be editing a photo a day for the remainder of 2012::Project MMXII, this is my ‘after’, you can view the ‘before’ here.

  1. Tristan, this edit is just BREATHTAKING. I mean, every picture in this series has been outstanding, but this one just takes the cake! I mean, I just can’t even. Gah!

  2. Thanks Jules! I really love this edit as well, it’s so odd to see something so heavy just floating through the air right? I wanted to put a link to a man next to an elk so people good get an idea of what a presence these animals have (they are as big as the largest horse and then add an elephant and you get the gist of their size), but the only ones I found were hunting ones and that’s hard for people to see (I know that would be you and me included!).

  3. LOOOOOVE the antlers. So happy to see them and the stag pic in the next post, they are my obsession.

    I too tried having iCal play alarms and notes every time I need to do something so I’ll be able to do everything and on schedule. I’m the worst at time management. I also have the computer tell me the time every round hour, but it just doesn’t work for me. The music keeps playing and the post-it keeps flashing, and I’m in my own little world. Sad, really:)

  4. Thank you Naomi! I am not so great with time management either (thus the alarms). I have history podcasts playing now when I work (except when editing) so I can feel like I am learning something as well. I don’t know if it works but I ‘feel’ smarter, lol.
