Fill the frame photo technique

fill the frame technique via besotted

Our prompt this week for our 52 week project is fill the frame. Our preference is to do this in camera, so try to resist the urge to crop in Photoshop;) Have your subject fill the edges of the viewfinder. It’s a basic technique but very effective in creating an artful image and to isolate your subject from a cluttered background (my favorite way to avoid straightening up when taking photos of my busy 4 year old!).

It’s not too late to start your Foto Rx 52, shooting consistently will be the fastest way to becoming a better photographer. Follow us on Instagram for more inspo and edit examples. Shoot this week’s prompt and use #fotorx52 so we can find you and cheer you on.
