I thought I would try my hand at a different type of Pinterest curation today, you can find the links above to the pinners that pinned these camp-centric lovelies.  I must say I doubt I will be doing another one of these types again, it took me an obnoxiously long time to find pins + pinners that linked to actual sources, grrr.

Do any of you have plans to go camping this summer?  I had big plans for a canoe ride last June when we lived off of the lake but I overturned the canoe upon take-off and then I got cold feet and refused to get back in. I just kept thinking about what would happen if we overturned the canoe in the middle of the lake (it was a very large lake). I don’t have a problem with the ocean, maybe because I grew up with it, but lakes are new to me and seem a lot more menacing, maybe too many scary movies as a kid? I do love going through photos of canoe’s, lakes and general camp goodness.  On another summery note, I heard that you can build bonfires on the beach here which is completely foreign to me since in Southern California it is illegal to do so. It sounds so romantic and if I ate marshmallows I surely would want to try my hand at some of the 8 million s’mores recipes I found on Pinterest. I hope you are enjoying this day, for those in the states you are probably counting down the days to the long holiday weekend, am I right?

  1. Lol, how funny that we are opposites on that. I know rationally that the ocean should be the more scary of the two, but something about the big lake we lived by just made me have the heebie jeebies. My husband kayaked it and showed me everywhere he went from the bridge and my heart was a flutter with how far he was away from land. I’m a weirdo, I know.
