PINTEREST CURATOR | MEGAN GILGER

Megan Gilger Curator Besotted Blog a

Megan Gilger is a little more edgy than these pins would surmise, but it’s obvious she has a girly bent too, it’s just not as obvious to the average bear.  When I started going through her pins I noticed that she had a penchant for this blushy/peach color, a color that I also appreciate in small doses.  In almost all of her boards you will find this color hidden amongst other finely curated images. I like it and I hope you do too!  I am a little embarrassed to admit that I re-pin more of Meg’s pins than I think is socially acceptable, but technically Pinterest is a place where you are supposed to find inspiration and be able to file it away without incident but it is the interwebs and well, I get a little self-conscious sometimes. Not like I am going to  stop or anything, peshaw, that would be crazy talk, I just wanted you to  know that I am aware that I do it, but I am going to continue anyways, because well, people like Meg have good taste.  I didn’t know much about Meg prior to finding her Pins outstanding, but she has a great blog called The Fresh Exchange and design studio-Hitch Design Studio, both are worth checking out. I hope you like my find on this fine day and if you can’t wait until next week  you can always see who I follow here.

PINTEREST CURATOR | MRS. FRENCH

MRS FRENCH CURATORI haven’t done one of these in over a month!  I didn’t remember how long they take, it’s so easy to fall into an inspiration abyss.  I wanted to introduce you to my Pinterest Curator of the week Mrs. French. I am well aware that 3,484,898 already follow her. I don’t know if she is the most followed person on Pinterest, but it seems that she must be way up there.  There’s a reason for this, she is a prolific pinner, honestly every time I go to Pinterest she has pinned a whole bevy of new greatness, it’s non-stop.  Mrs. French has a little experience in curation, as she rose to internet ‘fame’ as the woman that single handedly made Monday’s more desirable with her ‘I heart Monday’s’ series.  This is where she honed  (unbeknownst to her) future superior pinning skills.  I love her Handsome board and PrettyPrettyPretty, but you can’t go wrong with her Photography Board (Mrs. French is a talented photographer) and for fun her Street Style board has a lot of great eye candy. You can see what all the fuss is about here and be 3,484, 899!

PINTEREST CURATOR | KIMBERLY KENNEDY

I have admitted prior that I have a a very classic closet, some may read that as boring, but whatever, they are one day going to regret the photographs of themselves in neon leggings or whatever the latest trend is. How do I know that?  I have some seriously blackmail worthy photos of my poor wardrobe choices of yore. Yes, that was a scrunchy or banana clip, bad perm, Keds and weirdly slouchy socks that I owned and proudly displayed to the world. No longer. I chose Kimberly Kennedy today as my Pinterest curator because I love her simple taste in fashion, simple is not shapeless and unflattering mind you, Kimberly’s choices are simple, classic and dare I say sexy?  It’s subtly sexy.  Her wardrobe choices feel like I wouldn’t be wincing at them say 10 years from now.  If you want to be one of those women that just always look pulled together and effortlessly chic this board is for you and maybe befriending a French woman, gosh darn do French women have style. I know not one French woman that has a photo of herself with a scrunchy, crackly perm and slouchy socks.  Check out Kimberly’s other boards as well, she has great taste and I think you will be happy for the introduction especially since she is my current ‘secret’ not a lot of people know of her yet and we are about to change all that right?  You can visit Kimberly here and if you want to see what my latest addiction is you can visit me here.

PINTEREST CURATOR::JANE POTRYKUS

Ah, Jane, how I adore thee…I do, sincerely. When I create these boards I usually have to delve deep and create a word or phrase of what I believe sums up my fave curators style. Jane Potrykus is so efficient, so edited and such a class act that she has done that for me (and you). She has trademarked the term ‘Utilitarian Luxe’ and indeed that is her style to a ‘t’. I have been a Jane fan for many moons. In fact when I am designing my line I have a handful of dream ‘clients’ that I ask myself, ‘would _______ like this offering?’,  Jane is always top of mind. I love Jane’s pins because she also takes it to reality, where she will pin places she has either visited or will be visiting, it’s arm chair traveling at it’s finest. She has a board dedicated to coffee, which makes me smile , who else would be willing to curate the most beautiful places in the world to grab a cup? Do you see what I mean about Utilitarian Luxe being so perfectly fitting? Jane does veer towards minimalism, but she definitely has a great sense of humor and you will find elegant animal finds sprinkled throughout her pins in completely delightful ways. I urge you to visit her boards and discover some simple + pretty finds to add to your own inspiration archives.
P.S. Happy Halloween!

PINTEREST CURATOR | JENNIFER HAGLER

While I was pulling together Jennifer Hagler’s pins for this post I was mentally trying to articulate the best way to describe Jennifer’s board style to you. I ran through a myriad of options, some containing the word rustic others the dreaded hipster and then I would come full circle again. I think I can sum it up best as ‘Minimalist Bohemian Hipster Chic’. I know pairing those words together seems a bit contradictory, but so is her style, oh and she has a penchant for geometrics. She’s on trend but not trendy. She has a discerning eye and only pins the most interesting version of a popular item, truly. I only knew her as Jennifer Hagler on Pinterest, the woman that I re-pinned things from like it was going out of style, (we share a love for a lot of the same types of things), but then I found out she also writes a blog with the delightful title, ‘A Merry Mishap’, you may have heard of it, she has quite the following. Some of her boards I am really addicted to are her DIY board which has some of the best sophisticated DIY’s around and her OUTSIDE board which is just brimming with beautiful + modern deck inspiration!  If you want to see some of my recent finds you can visit my boards here.
