COMING SOON : THE NEW BESOTTED

COMING SOON A NEW BESOTTED

What better time for a fresh new look than the beginning of the new year? Tristan and I have been planning and plotting better ways to fulfill the mission of this blog, which is to inspire you, openly share first-hand experiences (both ours and those of other artists), and to supply you with a steady stream of top quality creative resources.

Besotted will remain the approachable resource you’ve come to know (and we hope love!), but will be improved upon with a wider range of content that we hope leaves you inspired, ready to take action, or at the very least, comforted by the fact that we all have victories and losses, celebrations and struggles.

So what differences will you notice next week (besides the new design of course)? More interviews for one! We adore the calligrapher interviews (you should have heard us cheer when Betsy Dunlap agreed to an interview), so we’ve decided to expand our interviews to include other creative fields as well (think illustrators, art directors, designers, painters, gallery owners….and more!).  We also want to explore tried and true ways to reach creative goals. How many of you have ever wanted to do something, but didn’t know the first step to take? It happens to us all of the time (…publish a book, get into a gallery, find clients for freelance work…etc. etc.). We are going to do our best to shed some light on the process!

Do you have any ideas for the new Besotted? Who would you like to hear from? What would you like to see?

  1. Totally love your enthusiasm and also your map! This blog has inspired me to do so many things (or think about doing them). I do find that some of your blog is a little beyond my level since I’m not a professional artist, designer, calligrapher, photographer etc. but I like to dabble in creative things outside of my day job. So I’m not sure if I’m really the audience you’re aiming for but I like the basics, e.g. how to take interesting photos, edit photos without fancy Photoshop, stuff like that. :) Things like how to stamp or emboss properly as you’ve done before fit into that category perfectly.

  2. Hello! I have been following you for quite some time and am excited for your new changes! Your content, information, and inspiration are truly appreciated! As a new “blogger” I love to see how established professionals like yourselves “reinvent” and set yourself perfectly for continued successes! Looking forward to seeing the changes and faithfully following
    Sincerely,
    JoanMarie
