#1 request for sympathy. Saturday afternoon, about one hour before driving to Hollywood/Burbank Airport to catch a red eye to New York, I tripped and broke the radius and ulna bones in my right wrist. Yes, I’m right handed! I spent the rest of the day crying like a big baby, having my wrist twisted back into position, becoming nauseous from the Norco and canceling my trip to New York. Monday was my 60th birthday. Not sure if it’s because I’m old, but breaking these bones has been the most painful episode I’ve ever experienced, and I’m including a heart attack and childbirth! Finally made it to New York this morning. Of course it was uddles more expensive. My pink cast helped cheer me up. Won’t be practicing calligraphy anytime soon, but it would sure be lovely to be the recipient of Maybelle’s gorgeous box of treasures and your profoundly generous spirit!
