A Book by its Cover| A Boat, A Whale & A Walrus

A Boat, A Whale, A Walrus via Besotted Blog

As designers Michelle and I have this thing about aesthetics, yes, we have even been known to judge a book by its cover. Being both bibliophiles and design addicts we thought it was high time that we share some of our favorite book covers with you. Some we will have read and some are on our ever growing to-do list of reads but all of them are worthy of a peek. We will do our best to give credit to the designers, illustrators and photographers if we can find this elusive information. We hope you enjoy this new series and that you discover a few treasures to add to your library.

And about that cover…A Boat, A Whale & A Walrus by Renee Erickson is a book that you can not help but be drawn to. As you know we love a good organic hand, which this has plenty of, the charming illustrations are by artist Jeffry Mitchell. I happened to receive a copy of this book from Miss Michelle and my take? I think all cookbooks should be written like this–part memoir, part practical application. I have not tried any of the recipes yet, but I still give this a huge thumbs up as you will thoroughly enjoy the conversational tone and voluptuous photography.
