HAND-PAINTED KRAFT BOXES

Ah, the last minute rush is on to purchase, pack and put your parcels beneath the tree or send off in the Post! I am unfortunately wrapping paper challenged, seriously, I have absolutely no aptitude for wrapping with paper, it’s downright dangerous for this paper cut inclined lady, so when Michelle mentioned she was painting her gift boxes I was duly intrigued.Of course, it’s de rigeur for a blogger to document ones DIY and this is no exception. It passes our criteria that it be easy and look aces. Michelle chose to use two colors a white and a hand mixed perfect pale blush (her fave). There is no real ‘painting’ rules here, even if you can’t paint (which I think is preferable to achieve that naive look that is oh, so popular right now). Just interpret a classic pattern like a stripe or polka dot onto your kraft boxes using acrylic paints and a brush, Michelle said that dry time was not long at all (maybe 15 minutes) which makes this craft good for the impatiently inclined as well. This could even work with the kiddo’s if you give a little guidance. My girl is a little too young to try this without eating the paintbrush but maybe next year!
