Instagram Stories and how we are using it!

Have you tried the Instagram Stories feature yet?  We are new to the whole Instagram Stories game, but we are excited to give this new feature a go for our fledgling @fotorxco Instagram account. Since our Foto Rx account is for our business where we are showcasing our photo edits but if you have a business, Instagram is a great way to showcase your work. I wish I would have been more diligent with it when I had my stationery company and opened an account specifically for my business (I think that’s a superb idea, since Instagram is adding new promotional enhancements for business accounts all the time), but better late than never! For the Stories we will be doing live edits using our photo processing tools and maybe we will get into showing live shoots and workshops down the road, baby steps! Your Instagram Story only lasts for 24 hours, so if you decide later on you hate your Story, no need to regret posting. Another feature we tried last week was Instagram Live, which was super awesome (and scary as heck!). You basically start a sort of mini video web chat on any subject (again we did live edits, but if you are say a clothing designer, show fabric shopping, sketching, etc. it’s limitless!), once you start a chat your followers are notified and can join in the chat, add comments and best of all (for us) ask us questions! I was scared and sweating profusely but it ended up being so much fun! Once you end the Instagram Live feature the content disappears. We have watched a couple great LIVE Instagram’s and of course a few duds. We will share some of our faves in another post, we have to run because we are about to go LIVE in a second, if you miss us LIVE you can always catch our Stories! Hope to see you there!
